Export programme

Industrial Safety Workwear Exporter from Mumbai, India

Sanctum Work Wear has manufactured and exported industrial coveralls, flame retardant protective clothing and safety equipment since 2000. These pages set out how we supply each market we serve across the Middle East, Africa and Asia: the ports we ship through, transit times from Nhava Sheva, the import conformity requirements, and the industries driving demand.

Markets

Export markets we supply

Middle East · 6 markets

Hydrocarbon-led demand, short sailings from Nhava Sheva and GCC-wide conformity standards that largely transfer between markets.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is the largest single market for industrial protective clothing in the Gulf, and the most demanding on documentation.

Qatar

Qatar's protective clothing demand is unusually concentrated.

View Qatar market page ›

Oman

Oman is the closest Gulf market to Mumbai by sea, and that changes the commercial logic.

View Oman market page ›

Kuwait

Kuwait's protective clothing demand is almost entirely refinery-driven.

View Kuwait market page ›

Bahrain

Bahrain is the smallest of the Gulf markets and the easiest to underestimate.

View Bahrain market page ›

Africa · 6 markets

Mining, oil and construction demand across the continent, with pre-shipment conformity verification required in most markets.

Nigeria

Nigeria is the largest industrial workwear market in West Africa, and the demand is concentrated where the hydrocarbons are.

Kenya

Kenya is East Africa's distribution centre as much as a market in its own right.

View Kenya market page ›

Tanzania

Tanzania's protective clothing demand is mining-led.

Ghana

Ghana runs two strong industrial workwear markets side by side.

View Ghana market page ›

Egypt

Egypt has the largest industrial workforce in North Africa and one of the region's densest concentrations of refining, petrochemical and fertiliser capacity.

South Africa

South Africa is the largest protective clothing market on the continent by value, and the most industrially sophisticated.

Asia · 5 markets

Short transits and preferential duty under India's trade agreements, giving a landed cost position suppliers from outside the region cannot match.

Singapore

Singapore is a standards-led market rather than a price-led one, and that changes how a supplier has to present itself.

Malaysia

Malaysia's protective clothing demand follows its hydrocarbons.

View Malaysia market page ›

the Philippines

Occupational safety law in the Philippines places a clear and enforceable duty on employers to provide protective equipment to workers at no cost to them, and that legal obligation is the strongest single driver of PPE demand in the country.

View Philippines market page ›

Bangladesh

Bangladesh combines very large industrial workforces with one of the shortest sailings from Mumbai of any export market, at five to eight days to Chattogram.

View Bangladesh market page ›

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is the closest export market to Mumbai that we serve, at two to four days sailing to Colombo, and that single fact reshapes the commercial arithmetic.

Questions

Export supply: common questions

Which countries do you export safety workwear to?

Our Gulf export programme covers the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, shipped from Nhava Sheva, Mumbai. We have manufactured and exported industrial workwear since 2000 and supply beyond the Gulf on enquiry, including markets in Africa and South and South East Asia.

Do you sell to distributors or only to end users?

Both. A large part of our export business runs through distributors, uniform houses and safety equipment traders who import in their own name and supply the end client. We produce private-label garments under a distributor's own woven label, care label and carton marking where that suits the relationship.

What is the minimum order quantity for export?

It depends on the fabric, the garment and whether the order is a standard colourway or custom. Rather than quote a nominal figure, send us the garment type, quantity and size breakdown and we will confirm what is workable and price against your actual spread.

Can garments be manufactured to our own specification?

Yes. Fabric construction, colour, reflective tape placement, pocket layout, zip type, collar style and sizing can all be set to your standard, and we retain a specification sheet per customer so repeat orders match the original delivery. Standard colourways are navy blue, petrol blue, light blue, white, orange, grey, red, yellow and khaki in XS to 6XL.

What documentation is supplied with an export consignment?

Every consignment ships with a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, our ISO 9001:2015 certificate, a fabric composition declaration and mill test reports for the supplied lot. Country-specific conformity registration is completed by your local consignee, and we supply the manufacturer-side documents it depends on.

Tell us what you need to kit out

Send the garment type, quantity, size breakdown and destination, and we will come back with pricing, lead time and the documentation pack for your market.
